The word TIME is not new to the greater percentage of the
world population, given the fact that the usage is UNIVERSAL and its daily use
is of great importance.
The truth is time is one of the
most valuable commodities on earth, it’s given to everyone on earth
irrespective of status, color or race. What we make out of it depends on the
value placed on it by the individual involved. No man makes more time on earth than
another, it is given freely by God and no one has the right to deprive another
person of it. Ephesians 5:1-16 gives us details of the world challenges, which
is daily faced by man but resolving it in verse 16 informing us of a very
viable solution, REDEEMING THE TIME, BECAUSE
THE DAYS ARE EVIL.
Understanding the value of TIME gives
us the right perspective about it, this will help us to organize and prioritize
our life and time in such a way that it will give us maximum benefit from the
usage, the poor and the rich are equally given same amount of time and it’s the
usage that determines the rewards that comes after it. 86400 seconds is the
total deposit of time on daily basis in a man’s account, to be used as it
pleases, yet any unused is not carried over to the next day, no extension of
time given anywhere for any act of abuse on time, therefore we are encouraged
to redeem/utilize it to the best of our ability.
The book of Ecclesiastes chapter 3
analyses the how time is attached to every purpose on earth, and the very
existence of life is governed by it, thus this will enlighten our horizon about
the necessity that is placed on us to properly utilize the time we have at
hand. The funniest part of time is that, you are only sure of the one used and
presently using, the future time is managed and given by God who alone
determines when our time on earth is reached. King David was located in a right
place at the wrong time, the bible in 2 Samuel 11 vs 1 says at the time when
kings battle, David was at home lounging and thus an un-prioritize time caused
him a great woe and everlasting stigma that eternity will not forget in a
hurry, where you are found at a particular time either makes or mar your
destiny, a lot of people today are victims of circumstances not because they
are guilty of the offences been accused of but they are found within the
vicinity of a crime scene, their phase of life took a new turn.
Life is too short to live it
anyhow, never live and end the day with negative thought roaming over your head;
it has a way of dictating the outcome of the next day, Ephesians 4:26 encourage
you not to allow the sun to go down over your anger. The time spent over
negative thought clearly takes away the time and a larger percentage of energy for
productivity.
If God gives us a glimpse of the
remaining time we have left on earth, we will be very careful about what we do
with our time. Time management is taught as a course in much profession since
the importance is overwhelming and since it has no storage capacity the proper
usage is very important. We live in such
a time when people book appointment and flaw it, then give the excuse that it
is AFRICAN TIME, I beg to differ about this, even before the advent of watches
that helps man to keep track of time, Africans were relying mostly on weather/
cock crow to know time, yet history never mentioned the abuse related to those
archaic/primitive method of time keeper.
See each day as a gift, with this
you will really appreciate and evaluate what is left at the end of 24 hours.
86,400 seconds makes a day and at the end of the day whatever is not used goes
away as soon as it reaches midnight. Time waits for no one; we are very much
encouraged to make the very best of it to get the very best from it. Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse 11 gives a
conclusion about time, thus it’s not about the quantity of time spent on a
project or the ability of the person involved, but the grace given by God to
everyone to get the best out of a diligently used time that makes the
difference.
